Today’s Traffic Hero – Woolworths Greenacres

20 January 2013 By Alan Straton

Woolworths Disabled Parking

This Traffic Hero, was spotted in the Woolworths Greenacres parking area on 20/01/2013 at around 01:10 pm. Shopping centres in Port Elizabeth should take a leaf out of Woolworths Greenacres book. As you will see in the image below they have a traffic cone 'guarding' each disabled parking which helps keep those miscreants who feel 'entitled' away. Well done Woolworths! Our very first Traffic HERO of the Day

10 January 2013 By Port Elizabethan

I am of the humble opinion that I have vast experience in photographing and dealing with people who park illegally in Disabled Parking areas. Up until yesterday the people that I have photographed or engaged in corrective behaviour with have been rude and dismissive of my community spirited attempt to take up the cudgels on behalf of the disabled. I have been verbally abused, accused of being racist, physically intimidated, warned by the Longhair that someone will take a knife to me and … [Read more...] about Our very first Traffic HERO of the Day

Parking as close as you can to the shops is a really stupid dumbass method of trying to save money after Christmas. Try asking Father Christmas for BRAINS this year! Today’s Traffic Hooligan is Bontle EC

3 January 2013 By Port Elizabethan

This vehicle, registration number: Bontle EC, was spotted in Spur - Fig Tree on 01/01/2013 at around 07:00 pm. When you are in a wheelchair you may use this parking spot. You should not pre-empt (to occupy public land in order to have the right to buy it later) the future necessity of having to park in a disabled bay. Originally submitted to MyPE by: Lynn Futter Some interesting conversation going on around this Traffic Hooligan on Twitter: Port Elizabeth ?@MyPE PE News - … [Read more...] about Today’s Traffic Hooligan is Bontle EC

FTR317EC

This vehicle, registration number: FTR 317 EC, was spotted in Acres Shopping Centre, Perridgevale on 12/12/2012 at around 03:00 pm. Please find attached photo of the guy that parked in the handicapped parking at Atrium Spar on the 12th December 2012. I did confront him after watching him and his passenger getting out of the vehicle and dusting themselves off after stuffing their faces. He asked me how I know he isn't handicapped, so I told him I had just seen him walking. Very much like … [Read more...] about Today’s Traffic Hooligan is FTR 317 EC

Today’s Traffic Hooligan is FRN 080 EC

FRN080EC

This vehicle, registration number: FRN 080 EC, was spotted in Five Ways Shopping Centre on 04/12/2012 at around 02:47 pm. Some people need to drive their vehicles back to the place where they bought them and hand them back. Then they need to take public transport to the Drivers Licence Testing Centre and voluntarily hand their licences in. I say it over and over again - depriving the disabled minority of their rights to park in any area is just downright rude and insensitive. The rules … [Read more...] about Today’s Traffic Hooligan is FRN 080 EC

FXN206EC

This vehicle, registration number: FXN 206 EC, was spotted in Acres Shopping Centre, Perridgevale on 04/12/2012 at around 03:15 pm. This one had the audacity to search for me in your favourite Spar and ask if I had a problem with his car. Which I did, he did not even have a limp which could have saved him SOME face. And, after highlighting that he should not be parking there, he still made no effort to move. This vehicle, registration number: DDK 178 EC, was spotted in Pedestrian crossing between the Boardwalk and Hobie Beach on Marine Drive on 09/11/2012 at around 12:35 pm. This is a fatal accident waiting to happen - taxis stop here all the time. When they stop people actually think that they are stopping to let them cross the pedestrian crossing ......
