12 July 2014 By NMB Communications

AMAT (Pty) Ltd, contracted by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality for three years, faces the task of reducing revenue losses through electricity theft by R50 million annually for the duration of their contract. Mr Nceba Faku, AMAT Director for Special Projects, accepted the challenge and said that it is important to note that electricity theft is not confined to previously disadvantaged areas as more sophisticated devices are used to steal electricity in suburbs. ANC reveals disdain for NMBM residents

18 April 2013 By Port Elizabethan

It would appear as if President Jacob Zuma and the National Executive Committee of the ANC have given the Nelson Mandela Bay a ceremonial mayor. The 81-year-old Ben Fihla was yesterday in Cape Town to attend a meeting in parliament. It is very disappointing that our executive mayor deems this more important than to attend to the numerous challenges facing our metro. The residents of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro have, once again, been treated with flagrant disrespect by the ruling party … [Read more...] about ANC reveals disdain for NMBM residents

ANC infighting paralysing city administration

23 August 2012 By Port Elizabethan

The continued in-fighting between the Faku/Wayile factions within the metro has succeeded in effectively paralysing our city administration (We will get Wayile - Faku, The Herald, 20 August 2012). The dogged refusal by senior structures within the ruling party to adequately address the rift between the two which is indicative of the jockeying going on ahead of Manguang is even greater cause for concern. The incessant meddling into city affairs by those at Florence Matomela (Standard) House … [Read more...] about ANC infighting paralysing city administration

Shouting the loudest, does not make one right

6 June 2012 By Port Elizabethan

In answer to reports that the election of Nceba Faku is to be probed by Derek Hanekom of the ANC, the East Cape Regional leadership of the ANC Nelson Mandela Region, at a briefing at Florence Matomela House in Port Elizabeth today released the following statement to their Branch leaders and members of the media in an effort to "update you all on a number of issues as well as to correct some issues which have found themselves into the public domain." The full statement follows below: We are … [Read more...] about Shouting the loudest, does not make one right

Kabuso Report – Full Marks to The Herald

27 October 2011 By Alan Straton

After months of legal wrangling and (probably) heaps of legal fees The Herald finally got the go ahead from Acting Judge Nceba Dukada that the full Kabuso forensic report on maladministration in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality be handed over to The Herald in the next five days (by the end of October 2011). In the interim The Herald has made electronic copies of the documents available: The legal interpretation of the Kabuso report (14.8mb) The Kabuso report split into 4 files, … [Read more...] about Kabuso Report – Full Marks to The Herald

Faku You Destroy ANC

31 May 2011 By Alan Straton

So read one of the many placards carried by protesting residents from 47 of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan wards, as we exited from the 1st meeting of the 3rd democratic council of the Bay today. We Should Thank Nceba Faku

30 May 2011 By Alan Straton

There is no denying that the utterances of Comrade Giraffe, Nceba Faku, has swung a stadium full of spotlights onto the four main protagonists in this tussle of the dung beetles - The Herald, Nceba Faku, the ANC and Port Elizabeth - please note that only The Herald and Nceba Faku are identified as the famous Addo flightless elephant poo rollers. A long long time ago and in a suburb far far away I was told that the only form of bad advertising was NO advertising. The inference at the time was … [Read more...] about We Should Thank Nceba Faku

Dear WD40

26 May 2011 By Alan Straton

I have irrefutable proof that at least TWO loyal ANC cadres do read MyPE ........ Nceba Faku Revolootionary

20 May 2011 By Alan Straton

Son of the soil, communist, trade unionist, entrepreneur, revolootionary and now failed son of Nelson Mandela Bay........... Nceba Faku Instead of graciously thanking your supporters for staying the course with you and promising them better government and transparency you chose to play that tired old game, loved by Primary School bullies and called transference. (e.g. Has anyone at Standard House called you a capitalist lately? They may be afraid that you will label them as a … [Read more...] about Nceba Faku Revolootionary
