The call centre launched by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality this year has seen a decrease in irate customers since its launch in May. A total of 22 391 out of the 25 913 calls received via the call centre had been resolved to the satisfaction of residents by close of business on Tuesday 20 September, representing an 86.4% success rate. R28 Million Youth and Advice Centres for Gqeberha Township
Today marked a new beginning for the youth in Gqeberha Township near Walmer as the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality started the construction of two facilities that will enhance youth development. A sod turning ceremony was held to mark the beginning of works in the new Youth Centre and the upgrading of the Advice Centre. Somali Community Pledge R270 000 worth of Support to Motherwell Residents on Chronic Medication
The South African Somali Community will help poor people taking chronic medication in three Nelson Mandela Bay clinics get much needed food. Approximately 1000 people taking medication in Well's Estate Clinic, Thanduxolo Clinic in NU10 and the Motherwell Healthcare Centre in NU4B will benefit from the initiative.
