Residents of Despatch are kindly requested to note that the water supply failure currently experienced in some areas of Despatch, particularly Reservoir Hills, Khayamnandi and Central Despatch (Botha Street area), is due to a burst in the main water pipeline supplying Despatch. Repair work started on Thursday and will continue today. Most areas have been rezoned and are receiving water.
Water supply to all areas is expected to be restored in the course of Friday afternoon. Water tankers will be on standby to supply affected areas with water.
The Municipality regrets the inconvenience caused to consumers.
