The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to advise that the R333 (the road running to the back of Despatch above the Swartkops River) will be closed to the public for some time. This follows a traffic accident earlier today when a large truck carrying fuel left the road and overturned, not far from the entrance to the Cuyler Manor Museum. Power restored to affected city areas
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is pleased to inform residents in the areas affected by the outage experienced in a number of areas in the city this afternoon is being restored. The cause of this widespread outage has been traced to attempts by a resident in Moeggesukkel, Bethelsdorp to make an illegal connection, in which process he unwittingly threw a wire over a 132 000 volt line.
