The Municipality wishes to inform consumers of water supply disruptions in the Despatch and Uitenhage areas. This is due to complications which have occurred during critical work being undertaken at the Nooitgedagt Water Treatment works, as part the drought mitigation augmentation measures.
Water is currently being re-routed from alternative sources and it is expected that reservoirs should start filling this evening. Tankers have been deployed in areas which are most effected.
The Municipality wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
