Four Nelson Mandela Bay musicians are determined to do their bit to raise awareness for breast cancer this month by hosting a fundraiser at music haven, Toni's Place, on Thursday this week and Busking for Cancer. October is international breast cancer awareness month. For 18 months now the Longhair and I have been taking the dogs for a walk in Settlers Park. We park in the new improved public parking off Chelmsford Avenue and wander through the park appreciating the bird and wildlife whilst the dogs swim and relax. Dan Patlansky’s Summer Tour
Guitar wizard, Dan Patlansky, is back on the road after a well-deserved rest. Dan has been hard at work auditioning for a new drummer to replace stalwart, Andy Turrell. The new drummer is Andy Maritz, a well-known studio musician from Johannesburg. Port Elizabeth resident and veteran teacher, Dorien du Toit is holding an exhibition, 'Cut to the Bone', featuring sculptures on an African theme: in wood, iron, bone and stone at the EPSAC Gallery from the 26th January to the 3rd February 2011.
