The Nelson Mandela Bay directorates of Infrastructure and Engineering as well as Electricity are under the purview of two EFF Councillors: MMC Khaya Ngqisha and MMC Zanele Sikawuti. The EFF forms part of the current coalition government in Nelson Mandela Bay and these two young Councillors have bagged prime MMC positions which command serious budgets and access to big business in the city. The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality recently announced that they would be targetting business for … [Read more...] about Business Beware – YOU Are the New Target of the EFF

Just Why Did the Hawks Raid Nelson Mandela Bay Municipal Offices?
According to the EFF the Hawks raided the Mfanasekhaya Gqobose and Munelek Buildings to gather evidence for an investigation relating to an alleged collusion activity, dating back to 2006, between officials and service providers in the Municipality. Apparently a service provider was contracted by an Engineering conpany which had been awarded the Coega tender. When the service provider failed to deliver one the contracted services questions were raised around to the explosion of the Coega … [Read more...] about Just Why Did the Hawks Raid Nelson Mandela Bay Municipal Offices?
CiC Killing Debate – Are we mature enough to even call this a debate?
Over on everybody's 'favourite' sound bite social media - X-Twitter - a whole lot of X'ses are being sent out around the EFF's Julius Malema singing 'Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer' at the EFF's 10th Birthday bash this past weekend. One of the luminaries of our Justice System - Preofessor Thuli Madonsela weighed in with a legally focussed commment that, inevitably, resulted in many strident dissenting voices that attacked the messenger and not the actual problem. It is most frustrating … [Read more...] about CiC Killing Debate – Are we mature enough to even call this a debate?
BEFORE You Get the Moering Over Wee Julius’ Latest Kill the Boer Challenge…
You would do well to point your fingers at the real reason why he felt free to continue to sing this song. At the EFF's 10th Birthday Rally this weekend the EFF's head honcho/dictator for life/chief rabble rouser/R2 Million Watch Guy, Julius Malema (Commander in Chief), sang the controversial "Kill the Boer" struggle song. In August 2022, Judge Molahlehi of the Equality Court in Johannesburg ruled that the singing of “Kill the Boer - Kill the Farmer” by EFF supporters in Senekal in October … [Read more...] about BEFORE You Get the Moering Over Wee Julius’ Latest Kill the Boer Challenge…
Out of the Mud Comes Clarity as EFF Calls for the Head of City Manager Noxolo Nqwazi
The lead up to the elimination of the previous coalition government in Nelson Mandela Bay was precipitated by the EFF calling for the removel of Deputy Mayor Khusta Jack on flimsy evidence that he was 'doing business with the city whilst being a councillor'. Those allegations were proven to be incorrect and rubbished by the Attorney General in two findings. Nevertheless the Motion of No Confidence proceeded in council last week on Friday and a new ANC led coalition government assumed the … [Read more...] about Out of the Mud Comes Clarity as EFF Calls for the Head of City Manager Noxolo Nqwazi

Elections 2019: Eastern Cape’s Winners and Losers – some surprises here
IN comparing the 2014 to 2019 National Elections the space was definitely more populated in 2019 with 48 parties contesting the Provincial Elections vs 29 in 2014. Interestingly 10 parties that contested the 2014 elections did not return for the 2019 elections meaning that we had an additional 29 new political parties enter the voters roll in 2019 along with the 19 'stayers'. Biggest Winner: Of all the parties contesting the 2019 Eastern Cape Provincial elections the biggest uptake this year … [Read more...] about Elections 2019: Eastern Cape’s Winners and Losers – some surprises here
Economic Freedom Fighters – 2019

The numbers indicate that the Land Expropriation without compensation could be passed
The passing of the bill to amend Section 25 of the constitution could very likely be passed based on the numbers of votes required by members of the National Assembly. Presently Section 25 of our constitution deals with the right to property, limited in that property may only be expropriated under a law of general application (not arbitrarily), for a public purpose and with the payment of compensation. The EFF's proposed amendment seeks to remove the part that reads “subject to … [Read more...] about The numbers indicate that the Land Expropriation without compensation could be passed
Who is this TroLeep Guy?
https://youtu.be/mwPXqKFoNss "Bloody Capitalists - if there wasn't capitalism then maybe we wouldn't have to dance and sing to this ridiculous (and yet catchy!) song!" The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) exercised their land grab initiatives and parked a mobile stage on the east side of the Vuyisile Mini Square on Thursday 29 March 2018 to rouse up their supporters ahead of the No Confidence Motion in Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Athol Trollip. I saw that many of the swaying … [Read more...] about Who is this TroLeep Guy?
About That Land Restitution Thing and How we Could Solve it
Forgive me for resorting to defining the persons herein by race - I feel that I need to do so in order to contextualise the conversation. I (a white male on the right side of 50) was chatting to my lodger (a black male on the right side of 30) about the question of land and restitution. Basically the concerns from his side were to do with how did the mainly white farmers manage to accumulate so much land - with the inference that they benefited because of apartheid. On this we agreed … [Read more...] about About That Land Restitution Thing and How we Could Solve it
Victory song for the DA or EFF?
After reading the lyrics to our Ward Councillor Lament - Wardless, my mate Edward suggested that the song below could be the DA Victory Song, BUT, I am erring on it being the victory song for the Economic Freedom (Fury) Fighters who have just secured their historic first seat (Ward 43) in the NMB municipal elections. Turn your speakers UP, and tweet/share which party you think the song fits best. … [Read more...] about Victory song for the DA or EFF?
