5 December 2011 By Ward 2

Dear Ward 2 Friends The end of another significant year for the Democratic Alliance draws near. It has certainly been an eventful 12 months and the collective efforts of all our public representatives, staff, activists, members and supporters has helped make 2011 our most successful year as a party since inception. Ward 2 Newsletter October 2011

3 October 2011 By Ward 2

Summer season is fast approaching although it doesn't feel that way with a chilly start to the week! There have been a host of exciting developments lately that hold a lot of significance for the residents of Ward 2 and the greater metro community. The Kings Beach Environmental Upgrade is already well underway with a significant amount of money to be spent on our long neglected beachfront. I am pleased to see that Transnet have again reaffirmed their commitment to the removal of the … [Read more...] about Ward 2 Newsletter October 2011

Ward 2 Newsletter August 2011

1 August 2011 By Ward 2

We are well and truly back into full swing and doing whatever we can to ensure that the levels of service delivery from the metro improve and that you get the services that you deserve. This is not always easy as we often find ourselves at the mercy of the administration and officials who night have a different set of priorities or agenda to ourselves. I can confirm however that the establishment of the Service Delivery Joint Operations Centre (JOC), has been a great help under the capable … [Read more...] about Ward 2 Newsletter August 2011

This is WHY the Water Restrictions Have NOT Been Lifted

15 June 2011 By Ward 2

The Metro dam levels show a significant improvement at 76.7 % after the recent rains. Please note that the Metro's main dedicated supply dams the Churchill and Impofu are the only ones that are not yet full and we have been informed that it is important to consider this when determining when restrictions are likely to be lifted or whether full or partial water restrictions will be retained. I have also been informed that representatives from the metro will be meeting with the Department of … [Read more...] about This is WHY the Water Restrictions Have NOT Been Lifted

Once again, I would like to thank all of you who supported both me and the Democratic Alliance by turning out to vote on 18 May 2011. Ward 2 Newsletter by Councillor Dean Biddulph: This is more than likely the last newsletter that I will be sending to you before the 2011 Municipal Election. Dean Dean I Heard Them Scream

14 February 2011 By Alan Straton

In case you missed it, this year of 2011 heralds one more local election and we have two major candidates elbowing for position at the feeding trough of ratepayer misery - the ANC (or, as many like to call them, The New NP) and the DA (or, as others like to call them, the Desperate Alternative). Going to the monthly kindergarten gathering of Councillors at the Wool Board has been a slight bit of a disappointment for me as the expected cut and thrust of politics - that of nimble word-smiths … [Read more...] about Dean Dean I Heard Them Scream
