IN comparison with the 2011 Municipal Elections results the African National Congress only had ONE Ward experience an increase in voter support - Ward 29 - over all 36 Wards they won in the 2016 Nelson Mandela Bay Elections. All other ANC wards experienced a drop in support from a high of -35.68% (Knight Mali - Ward 25) to -3.9% (Nomkitha Butana - Ward 60). As at 5:15 am on 5 August 2016 with 98.43% of votes counted in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole the ANC has 34 Seats and the DA has 21. As at 4:30 pm on 4 August 2016 with 73.62% of votes counted in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole the ANC has 17 Seats and the DA has 12. At this time the ANC won Ward 16 - Kwazakhele and Ward 23 - .
