The opposition party in Nelson Mandela Bay, the ANC, delivered a petition to the new government on 1 December citing 13 ‘areas of concern’.
Here Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Athol Trollip responds to the allegation that only Whites benefit from the ocean economy “with no transformation”.
As it is not a local government competency Trollip gets his dig in saying; “Once again it is clear that the authors of this petition do not allow the facts to get in the way of a good story.”
