The opposition party in Nelson Mandela Bay, the ANC, delivered a petition to the new government on 1 December citing 13 ‘areas of concern’.
Here Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Athol Trollip responds to concerns around Suspensions which occured before the Municipal Elections of August 2016 accusing the DA led coalition of a witch hunt of city officials spearheaded by the City Manager and mentioning two officials in Kupido Baron and Trevor Harper. Trollip stated that Harper and Baron “will have every legal and constitutional opportunity to defend themselves in all unfolding investigations and actions against them.”
