SA Schools Water Polo Tournament

Eastern Province Water Polo is proud to be hosting this years’ Old Mutual Wealth SA SCHOOLS WATER POLO TOURNAMENT from the
10-14 December 2012.

Six tournament venues in Port Elizabeth will be utilised with the Newton Park Swimming Pool serving as the main venue.

Organisors are expecting more than 2000 participants to compete in the SA Schools Water Polo Tournament which will include 1800 boys and girls (ranging in age from 13 to 19 years), coaches, referees and officials representing ten Provinces from South Africa plus Zimbabwe. A further 3000 parents, family and friends are expected to descend onto the friendly city of Port Elizabeth, to support the players.

A record number of spectators is expected at this year’s tournament, as this event follows straight after the South African leg of the IRB Sevens Rugby World Series.

The Finals will take place in the morning of 14 December 2012.

The various age groups will compete at the following venues:

  • Under 13,14,15 Boys and U13 Girls at The Grey Powerade Aquatic Centre
  • Under 15 & 16 Girls at Collegiate
  • Under 19B at Pearson
  • Under 16 & 19 Boys and Girls at Newton Park Pool
