People who know me are well aware of my aversion to wasting time on Facebook so forgive me if you have seen this already.
I happen to notice that the Nelson Mandela Bay Executive Mayor, Zanoxolo Wayile, has three Facebook accounts – one with 1 163 friends, one with 113 friends and one with 84 friends. The most active Facebook account is the one with 1 163 friends and we presume that that is the ‘official’ one.
Go on make friends with Zanoxolo, you know you want to.
Whilst you are there have a look at the profile image that our Mayor has up on his Facebook page – look carefully in the bottom left corner of the image of a happy smiling Mayor and you will see a tiny accreditation to www.MyPE.co.za. So, this must mean that our Mayor reads MyPE – don’t tell Kupido or Roland, Mr Mayor as they may block your access to our revolutionary words.
I am kinda chuffed to think that of all the images available to our Mayor that he would choose one from MyPE.
Of course I will magnanimously forgive the Mayor for not providing a direct link back to MyPE after ‘borrowing’ his own image for use on Facebook. In return, Sir, maybe you could personally look favourably on my next rates increase? Or how about asking Kupido and Roland to actually hit reply and communicate?

Goodness me, now that is rather rude! Think that the users of mype.co.za appreciate Alan’s work immensely. Communication is not a difficult thing and I have no doubt that Alan would praise you rather than moan, if you just communicated with him and the other citizens of PE, yes, the people that you work for.
I am just happy that Kupido took the time to reply and would love to know if he has done an exercise on Newsclip.co.za to see the value that MyPE gives Port Elizabeth, the Council, himself and the NMB Metro.
Sure we both need each other and I like to think that the value that MyPE gives is far in excess of the value received from the Metro.
FYI: Newsclip monitors over 1 500 print media, over 300 television and radio stations and over 500 commercially-viable websites (3 of whch are in the My stable – MyPE, MyZA and MyCapeTown).
Well – isnt it great that even the metro acknowledges the vast range and contribution of the mype website. By using it’s images – what a HUGE compliment to mype. It does not seem necessary for Alan to even think of blowing his trumpet as the metro is doing it very effectively on his behalf. Thank you Kupido for the compliment. Nice to know that council is behind PE businesses.
