Opening of the Season Programme and Road Closures

16 December 2011 By NMB Communications

Visitors and locals will have a great time in Nelson Mandela Bay tomorrow at the official Opening of the Season with national hip hop act HHP, Kurt Darren and the city’s most talented artists, including some from BOB volume 1 scheduled to perform. The programme for today is below.

The intersection of La Roche and Beach road  will be closed and traffic will be diverted west in La Roche Drive. The closure will be effected when the volume of traffic is full along Beachfront most probably at about 16:00 to 18:00 depending on the congestion at the time.

The second closure will be at the intersection of Brooks Hill and Beach Road to avoid traffic from turning right into Beach Road. This will obviously be influenced by the closure at the Beach and La Roche intersections.

Motorists are requested not to use the side walks for parking purposes as they will be contravening the Road Traffic  Act and this will result in prosecution. The road traffic signs “No Parking” will be displayed accordingly.
