At 11:00 am tomorrow – Friday 24 October 2014 – one of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s assets, the internationally recognised Newton Park Swimming Pool, will re-open to swimmers and for the hosting of events, following its refurbishment. The quest by Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to deliver a quality product led to a three-month delay in re-opening the facility. Today, the Municipality is proud to announce that the swimming pool is now ready to host the world again. The re-opening will also coincide with the Learn to Swim Programme that the Municipality is currently running through the Sport and Recreation Sub-directorate.
