Due to the fact that Nelson Mandela Bay will be a hive of activities as a result of a weekend packed with Specsavers Ironman South Africa related events, some of the Libhongolethu bus routes will be affected.
Saturday, 13 April
Marine Drive Route will be closed for the Corporate Iron Man event between 07h00 to 11h00 from La Roche Drive through to Admiralty Way which means that the Libhongolethu bus service will not be operating on the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) route between those hours. The normal scheduled service will resume after 11h00.
However the Libhongolethu bus service on all other routes will not be affected.
Sunday, 14 April
The bus service from the Lillian Diedericks Building (formerly known as Brister House) to NMMU and the Port Elizabeth Airport will be suspended entirely on Sunday, 14 April.
Motorists are requested to exercise extreme care as increased traffic is expected and to take note of the road closures.
