Residents from Despatch are advised to cut down on water usage urgently as water levels of reservoirs are running low as a result of persistent problems after a power outage at the Nooitgedacht Water Treatment Works on Sunday. This can ensure that water supply to all areas will not be interrupted.
We have deployed water tankers in the area as a precautionary measure and hope now that the levels of the reservoirs will increase overnight when demand is at its lowest.
If the current demand for water continues, water supply to higher lying areas such as Daleview, Khayamnandi, Heuwelkruin and Reservoir Hills could be affected first.
