Pack the portable braai and enjoy a day in the sun alongside the North End Lake.
From 1:00 pm today (26 April), all day Sunday and up until 1:00 pm on Monday 28 April 2014 the Algoa Bay Yacht Club will be hosting an Interclub Dinghy Sailing Regatta on the North End Lake with headquarters kindly provided by the Powerboat Club.
This regatta is a World First from two perspectives:
- The first major sailing regatta to ever be staged on the North End Lake
- The first major sailing regatta to be staged alongside a South African Stadium – the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The lakeside parking area just below the NMB Stadium offers a tranquil and safe area for spectators to park and braai whilst enjoying an event that is truly unique to Port Elizabeth and South Africa.
Join us for a refreshment and experience the camaraderie of sailors as they dance across the waters of the North End Lake in the shadow of our iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
