I have been giving advice to a friend with regards to his better half’s problems in receiving her final pay after resigning from a local higher education business (I would have said institution but don’t think they deserve the title).
After much to-ing and fro-ing with the local General Manager and then an escalation to the National Office of Greed her pay was finally settled this morning.
This is not the first complaint that I have had of this particular instituion of NON-Service Delivery. Other complaints have mostly centred around difficulties by students in getting money refunded for courses that are cancelled by this business.
I have also been told that they have a wonderful Sound Studio for recording whale song and other underwater sounds.
Careful – the tide of discontent is getting Warmer!

Check Noseweek articles on these private educational institutions whose sole motivation is to maximise profit. Most lack any degree of ethical compass and the education they are SELLING is often wanting….
The premises in question, obviously was far better suited to selling beer…
Sad that they continue to operate and people only do research after they have a problem.
I must confess that I have become a bit paranoid after having had a run in with a local tertiary establishment…one needs to however view comments on sites such as Hello Peter, WOMF, Noseweek and in need insert key words that you might use in the event of a problem ever arising for example google the name of the institution followed by the word “refund” to see what will happen if you do not receive what you paid for by a specified date.
They need to be shut down!
Dam Lynne, you got it
