Blue Horizon Bay and van Stadens Electricity Interruption

Residents of Blue Horizon Bay and the Van Staden’s River Mouth areas are experiencing an electricity interruption. This was caused by the theft of copper conductors in the area, from Fitches Corner to the N2 Freeway. The Municipality is currently in the process of replacing the stolen copper conductors with aluminium conductors. The Municipality’s security personnel are on site to investigate the situation, after which a formal charge will be laid with the South African Police Services. All conductors are expected to be replaced by this evening, when electricity to the affected areas will be restored.

In the interim, the Municipality asks for the patience and understanding of the residents of this area and assures them that every effort is made to ensure that their power will be restored as soon as possible.
