The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Service Delivery Call Centre is making a major difference in the lives of thousands of consumers as 54 066 of the complaints, that this centre received since May 2011, are already resolved and closed off.
This statistic is especially significant since it shows that 91.9% of the 58 833 complaints received were dealt with successfully by the different directorates of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.
This means that only 4 767 complaints are still receiving attention.
Executive Mayor Zanoxolo Wayile lead the establishment of the War-room for Service Delivery in May last year based on the concept of the Joint Operation Centre that paid dividends for the municipality during the successful hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.
This is in line with the municipality’s plan to work towards a dedicated phone number where complaints can be received and followed up on.
The centre can be contacted free of charge from land lines at 0800 20 50 50.
