At 1:30 am this morning I wandered on down to [removed] to see if I could try and reason with whoever had successfully managed to keep myself, my family and many of my neighbours awake with an incessant thump thump.
Much to my disappointment I found out that it was a brand activation for [Brand name removed] – a [Company name removed] – that was responsible for making my life just that much more unpleasant.
I was shown documentation from Disaster Management sanctioning the event and spoke to numerous people on site about the needlessly high noise levels.
Still unable to sleep at 4:15 am I eventually gave up and penned an e-mail to all the people involved. As you can see I have removed the parts identifying the people involved in this article.
I then tweeted about my woes:

I suppose if I had reverted to Facebook some drunken loser would have told me that he loves me ……….
Anyway, this is a little THREAT – I prefer to call it an EXHORTATION, but some people may not understand.
One of the items that I have asked the people concerned to attend to is to hand deliver a letter of apology to everyone residing within 2 kilometres of the event. The event took place 1.2 kilometres by road from Chez Straton. Now that is an ugly number as if I had to run there and back it would be 2 comma 4 Kilometres – the damn armies favourite number!
My undertaking is quite simple:
If the organisers/company responsible demonstrate that they are good citizens and neighbours by apologising I will NOT use their names in vain. I may even become a staunch supporter of their various products.
