Ward Committee Elections in 9 Wards on Wednesday

By

Ward Committee elections in Nelson Mandela Bay will take place on Wednesday, 5 March, in nine wards between 07:00 and 17:00.

The venues for the elections are Gelvandale Community Hall (Ward 10), Chatty Community Hall (Ward 29), Wonderwonings Hall (Ward 34), George Botha Indoor Sports Centre (Ward 37), Kuyga Community Hall (Ward 40), Bantu Church of Christ (Ward 42), Allanridge Hall (Ward 49), Khayamnandi Community Hall (Ward 52) and Wells Estate Multipurpose Centre (Ward 60).

Residents who are eighteen years or older, registered voters in any of the nine wards, and have their green bar-coded ID documents are encouraged to take part in the elections. Candidates for positions on the Ward Committees in the 51 other Nelson Mandela Bay wards were unanimously elected and as a result no formal elections are required in those wards.
