29 May 2014 By Port Elizabethan

Traffic flow in and around the suburb of Walmer was disrupted once again this morning when between 100 and 200 residents of Walmer township, Port Elizabeth, started blocking roads and burning tyres shortly after 04h00, protesting about service delivery and removal of illegal electricity connection

Some residents who were trying to go to work were attacked and others threatened by mobs of people, some carrying pangas and planks

Heugh Road and Villiers Road was blocked between 8th Avenue and 11th Avenue by the SAPS, as well as Victoria Drive. The public had to make use of alternative routes At 08h30 the roads were sill closed, but the situation was under control.

Who actually cares? They voted for this so they must deal with it. Burn the whole township down – no one cares anymore. You reap what you sow. Idiots.
