Of the 8 669 total registered voters in Ward 5:
- 2 453 came out to vote
- This represents 28.30% of the registered voters
- 19 ballots were spoilt, leaving 2 434 valid votes
- Morne Gerhard Steyn of the Democratic Alliance received a total of 2302 votes representing 94.58% of the vote
- Michael John Mc Cormack of the African National Congress received a total of 108 votes representing 4.75% of the vote
- Ilse Kearns of the United Democratic Movement received a total of 24 votes representing 1.00% of the vote
- The previous Ward 5 Councillor, Jeremy Simon Gronow Davis, won the seat with a 85.32% majority off of a 57.81% poll.
