With a nod towards my meddling personality here goes:

MyPE has a new section available to people who want to submit news and other stuff:

  1. Entertainment
  2. Letter to the Editor
  3. News Article
  4. Photographs

I must confess that most people subscribe to the shotgun approach to marketing – shoot as many ‘adverts’ out as possible in the vague hope that they will bring the punters in.

There is a quick explanation on MyPE’s MAIN NEWS SUBMISSION page that explains how to ensure your advert / article is read by the visitors to the MyPE web site (i.e. my Mother and the Longhair).

So, let us have a quick competition here.

One of the articles below was submitted via the MyPE Entertainment submission form. I decided to also type out  an article on the same subject.

NOW, please tell us in the comments section below which of the articles (1 or 2) will make you go to The Food Shed on 4 February?

1. THE FOOD SHED @ Sherwood Garden Centre – 4 Feb 2011 from 5pm – 9pm – Live Music – 2nd Generation is our band for Feb – Kiddies disco (under 16) Over 50 Food stalls * Bring your own wine and come dine!!!!! R10 entry for Adults and kids under 7 years old FREE!!! The FOOD SHED takes place on the 1st Friday of every month …….. come rain or shine – we are an indoor and outdoor event.

OR

2. Shake off the woes of the ‘Weary Work Week’ and ‘What to Cook for Friday Dinner’ worries by sampling one or more of 50 varieties of food in a garden surrounding.

Let the kids run wild and shake their booty under supervision as you crack open a bottle of chilled wine from your cooler and catch up with friends and neighbours.

Live music by 2nd Generation will soothe those tired lines away and make your significant other hungry for more beloved.

The Food Shed at the Sherwood Garden Centre is open on the 1st Friday of every month and is attracting not only weary Sherwood residents on their way up Walker Drive but also citizens from across Port Elizabeth who revel in the atmosphere and choice.

A paltry 10 bucks gets you in.
