Planned Western Suburbs Water Shutdown

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents and businesses that there will be a water shutdown of the Motherwell Chelsea Bulk Water Supply system for emergency repairs as well as augmentation to control systems on Wednesday the 27th of June 2018 . These repairs have been necessitated by vandalism that has taken place in a pipeline from this water supply. Western suburbs water colour to return to normal in next two days

The brownish colour of the municipal water supply to Lorraine, Westering, Sunridge Park, Kabega Park, Sherwood, Rowallan Park, Bridgemeade and Framesby is expected to return to normal within the next two days. The problem came as a result of the water level of the Chelsea Reservoir dropping to 7% early Monday morning following an electricity outage on Sunday at the Nooitgedacht Water Treatment Works.
