The UDDI Plant a tree Project has set themselves a launch target of planting 2 100 fruit trees in 13 wards throughout Uitenhage & Despatch, creating job opportunities for 300 community members with the kick-start of the programme during the month of November until December. 1500 Pupils to Receive School Shoes and Stationery

The Uitenhage Despatch Development Initiative (UDDI) is rolling out its Back-to-School campaign on Monday 28 March 2011 in Despatch. Nomathamsanqa Combined School will be the first stop for this campaign, where 300 disadvantaged pupils will receive school shoes and stationery.
