Lower Valley Road is to be closed off this evening from 17:45 until 19:15. The Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) said the road closure will be between Lower Valley Road and South Union Street, Port Elizabeth, when time trials are scheduled to take place. Yes - they are still in existence - Motorbike of the long arm of the Nelson Mandela Bay law. It does seem that these motorbikes are only really used for ceremonial purposes though. Often to be seen at the head of long funeral cavalcades and on other occasions demanding the presence of brutish machines used to subdue the errant populace. Dear MyPE The DA believes that a 24 hour traffic policing system in Nelson Mandela Bay would deter reckless drivers and discourage taxi operators from overloading, as they could be fined around any bend. We propose that the traffic flow at every school be managed and monitored by volunteers or law enforcement interns who are facilitated and trained by the traffic department. The South African National Roads Agency (SOC) Limited (SANRAL) hereby gives notice that Section 13 of the National Route N2 (Grahamstown to Fish River), 15km outside Grahamstown (towards Peddie), will be closed between 15:45 to 16:15 (30 minutes) this Friday (17 July).
