Taxi Blockade Peddie

Dear MyPE The Democratic Alliance (DA) calls for strong action to be taken against taxi operators who have brought the economy of the Eastern Cape to a crashing halt today. The taxi industry, through their actions, have today shown that they do not care about the livelihoods of the people of this province. Tens of thousands of individuals, breadwinners, who are dependent on public transport to get to work, will take home less this month because of the strike. Businesses, struggling … [Read more...] about Calls for action against striking taxi members undermining workers and the law

Headlines that IRK me

20 June 2018 By Alan Straton

2018 Municipal Strike

A recent headline around the current municipal strike in Nelson Mandela Bay read as follows; "PE municipal workers on strike over back pay from ANC era". What, if any, does it say about the actual strike? Does it not make the strikers out to be just a leetle bit doff and slow off the mark? Is it not crafted … [Read more...] about Headlines that IRK me
