Contingency plan for waste collection in operation

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s contingency plan to collect waste during the municipal strike is now in operation.

The following areas will be serviced today:

Mount Pleasant, Pari Park, Miramar, Providentia, Salisbury Park, Charlo, Lovemore Heights, Broadwood, Walmer Heights, Springfield, Overbaakens, Walmer, Fairview, Mangold Park, Newton Park, Walmer (West of 11th Avenue) and Willowdene.

Areas serviced after 5pm yesterday are Summerstrand, St. Georges, Forest Hill, Humewood, Brookes Hill, Humerail, Mill Park, Mount Croix, Parsons Hill, Kensington, Korsten, Holland Park, Steytler Township, Cotswold, Adcockvale, Perridgevale, Sydenham, North End, Central, Richmond Hill, Sidwell, Neave Township, Ferguson Township, and Richmond Hill (North of Stanley Street).
