The long arm of the law caught up with several traffic offenders as 288 cases were recorded at roadblocks set up by traffic law enforcement officers of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality on the first day of schools opening yesterday. Traffic Department Chalks up 200 Prosecutions Over the Weekend
The Traffic Department of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality showed its mettle over the weekend when a total of 227 prosecutions took place over the weekend. These offences included 19 cases of driving under the influence, 49 unlicensed drivers, 26 speeding offences, 3 reckless and negligent driving, 1 culpable homicide and 15 unlicensed or unregistered vehicles.
