The moans and groans about the new name for Port Elizabeth – Gqeberha – continue.Gqeberha residents still refer to the city as PE and refuse to use ‘that’ name. So – here is a compromise for the transition: For any events in Gqeberha before 22 February 2021 we can refer to the timeline as BGQ – Before Geqeberha For any events in Gqeberha after that date we can refer to the timeline as APE – After Port Elizabeth.
