Black Educational Snobs

15 July 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Our esteemed king of Black Educational Snob (BES), Thabo Mvuyelwa Mbeki, of the African Renaissance & The Native Intelligence vanity projects must be proud of his apparent specimen (excuse the pun) as in Drs. Zweli Mkhize & Bandile Masuku and Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng (Sunday Times' Hogarth column 12 July 2020). These three gentlemen make me repeat that Black Educational Snobs (BES) and Verkrampte Witmense (VW) aka White Supremacists belong to the same WhatsApp group => … [Read more...] about Black Educational Snobs

VW Field Hospital

24 June 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Regarding the converting & naming of the Volkswagen's Neave plant in Port Elizabeth to a Dr. Elizabeth Mamisa Chabula-Nxiweni landmark confirms my former supposition that if you are not anointed by the ANC and/or not approved by South African White Capital then you will be subjected to Arrested Development. I still stand by my belief & observation that one of the CODESA Resolutions of yesteryear was the disregarding, if not outright oppression, of those who are not anointed by … [Read more...] about VW Field Hospital

DSTV ‘Programming’

21 June 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Yours truly somehow disagrees with Disgruntled (Weekend Post 20 June 2020) regarding DSTV's "can stick it's pathetic programmes." As much as it can be regarded as macabre entertainment, but I enjoyed the now canned 'A 1000 Ways To Die' programme as the narration of its case studies is greatly humorous, albeit heartbreaking. That programmes narrative made me deal with the heartache of losing my one and only sister in March 2009 and my baby brother on my 41st birthday viz. 27 … [Read more...] about DSTV ‘Programming’

Chatty Dip Accidents

18 June 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE It is really sad that the Robots / Traffic Lights at the bottom of the R75 / Uitenhage {Chatty Dip} and Chelsea Roads intersection, are used as motorsport regulating signs. The mere fact that there were 2 accidents, one at dawn and one in late afternoon, on the yesterday means that it needs random traffic personnel now and then. Maybe, that intersection would be taken seriously after the materialisation of my Sasol or Shell or BP garage idea at the now-defunct Gqeberha High … [Read more...] about Chatty Dip Accidents

Super-wealthy Worshipping

9 June 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Two thumbs up to Ismail Lagardien's Why should we revere the super-wealthy article (The Herald 2 June 2020) for its absolute objectivity. Money, Status and/or Materialism worshippers, especially the typically shallow Gautengers, must have labelled him jealous, negative, suffer from an inferiority complex, toxic, mean-spirited, practising petty politics blah blah blah afterwards. I get that a lot when I tell money-worshippers that the likes of Kanye West, Warren Buffet, Bill … [Read more...] about Super-wealthy Worshipping

Dudu Myeni Saga

28 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE As much as the ANC-anointed former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson, Dudu Myeni, might be declared as a delinquent director in terms of the Companies Act (The Herald 28 May 2020), yet that judgement by a court-of-law seems to be laced with racial overtones. It also doesn't help that since Nelson Mandela was a qualified lawyer, Jurisprudence, Law and/or Legalese became highly over-rated with TV-loving advocates, judges, lawyers, commissioners-of-inquiries etc. jostling for … [Read more...] about Dudu Myeni Saga

Collective Means Cowardice

25 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE When one hears about "the collective" in South Africa, especially when it comes to decisions that are not going to benefit its general citizenry, but the axis-of-obsfucation namely the ANC / SACP / COSATU tripartite alliance; one's blood used to boil with anger but not anymore. The SAA's never-ending dilly-dallying regarding its necessity and/or longevity confirms once again that in the South African context, Collective primarily means Cowardice (or Communist) as no-one seem to … [Read more...] about Collective Means Cowardice

The Double Z Diatribe

21 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Helen Zille's Nongqawuse jibe against Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma's apparent #LockDown ego trip once again raises my observation and personal experience that Verkrampte Witmense (VW) aka White Supremacists and Black Educational Snobs (BES) belong to the same WhatsApp group, which is prejudice based on deluded sense of superiority. Zille seem to be arrogating herself into thinking that she is a lifelong saviour of black people since her expose of Steve Biko's murder by fellow white … [Read more...] about The Double Z Diatribe

No More Payslips

21 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Yours truly thinks it is a ripe time now for employers to make Electronic Salary / Wage Advices mandatory considering that the Corona virus is making all of us adjust our proverbial sails according the wind direction. I am therefore advocating for Wages & Salary Payslips to be e-mailed, sms'ed, WhatsApp'ed etc. to employees and having them in tactile form being an absolute necessary option. Employees can therefore always print those documents when the need arises. Many, if not … [Read more...] about No More Payslips

Happy 175th Anniversary The Herald

8 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE Happy 175th Anniversary to The Herald and the current staff that is fortunate enough to celebrate this milestone. I'm always inundated with WhatsApp messages, Calls, Facebook inboxes etc. of people who seem to think that I have esoteric information about the newspaper and its staff. It is particularly the most recent former editor Nwabisa Makunga (some even asking if we are cousins because of our square jaws, spectacles and/or the small gaps in our upper front teeth) whom they … [Read more...] about Happy 175th Anniversary The Herald

About SAA’s Demise

6 May 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE The bombastic title given to the ANC Anointed & SOUTH AFRICAN WHITE CAPITAL Approved individuals, namely the South African Airways' Business Rescue Practitioners is nothing more than a glossing over another Parastatal Parasitism & Paralysis (3P) case study. Instead of privatising SAA, the ANC's Black Educational Snobs (BES) and Verkrampte Witmense (VW) aka White Supremacists, which have prejudice based on deluded sense of superiority as a common denominator, decided to … [Read more...] about About SAA’s Demise

Goodyear Retrenchments

18 February 2020 By Alan Straton

Dear MyPE "When pointing at the moon, the fool looks at the finger." - Chinese proverb. Yours truly has first hand experience of how the government and private companies' anointees shoot down ideas despite being possibly beneficial in the long run. Goodyear's mooted retrenchment drive reminds me of one staunch client of my younger brothers and neighbourhood friends' car wash, that used to work for the company, and who lamented at the way ideas were rudely and bumptiously shot down long … [Read more...] about Goodyear Retrenchments

When Cousins Murder Cousins

12 February 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE People almost-always call me bitter and/or vindictive when pointing out a phenomenon I call Family-By-Default, like in the murder case of Bongani Hina (The Herald 11 February 2020). Any family member who has evil thoughts about a next-of-kin can't ever be held close to the bosom as in the fashionable fallacy by The Godfather author, Mario Puzo, who who foolishly wrote; "Keep your friends close , but your enemies closer." Rgards Luyanda Marlon Kama Kwa-Dwesi, Port … [Read more...] about When Cousins Murder Cousins

CODESA and ‘Bruinman’

4 February 2020 By Port Elizabethan

Dear MyPE Regarding the remark by Bruinman in The Herald of 3 February 2020 about Codesa, I firmly believe that one of the resolutions thereof was the disregarding, if not outright oppression, of those who are not Anointed by the ANC and/or not Approved by South African White Capital. For a simple example, one only has to take a cursory look at the same people who jump from plum job-to-plum job with the "critical skills" propaganda as a gerrymandering strategy to "beneficiate" the usual … [Read more...] about CODESA and ‘Bruinman’

Let’s Uitilise the former Gqeberha High School grounds

1 March 2019 By Port Elizabethan

Letters to the Editor

Dear MyPE As the former Gqeberha High School in the Govan Mbeki township on the corner of the R75 / Uitenhage & Chelsea Roads has been looted to the ground, that prime spot could be utilised for business. In a nutshell, Shell / BP / Sasol garages could be built on that busy intersection, incorporating a small shopping complex to reduce unemployment, crime and hopelessness in the Gqeberha & Veeplaas areas. Regards Luyanda Marlon Kama Kwa-Dwesi, Port Elizabeth … [Read more...] about Let’s Uitilise the former Gqeberha High School grounds
