Dear MyPE
As much as the ANC-anointed former South African Airways (SAA) chairperson, Dudu Myeni, might be declared as a delinquent director in terms of the Companies Act (The Herald 28 May 2020), yet that judgement by a court-of-law seems to be laced with racial overtones. It also doesn’t help that since Nelson Mandela was a qualified lawyer, Jurisprudence, Law and/or Legalese became highly over-rated with TV-loving advocates, judges, lawyers, commissioners-of-inquiries etc. jostling for vantage positions in front of cameras.
The typical Afrikaner Broederbond posterboy, Markus Jooste, who played with the Public Investment Corporation’s (PIC) money within Steinhoff as if it belongs to the Monopoly board game has never been subjected to the possibility of being declared a delinquent director for life as being overzealously proposed by the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) and the SAA Pilots Association (SAAPA).
It seems that the likes of OUTA, Democratic Alliance (DA), AfriForum etc. are hell-bent on portraying Black people (any non-Aryan in the South African context i.e Ethnic Africans, Coloured, Indian, Chinese etc.) as naturally Inept and/or having incompetence ingrained in their DNA.
