Celebrating 100 rounds of golf in 2013

30 December 2013 By Port Elizabethan

Tomorrow morning (Monday 30 December 2013) I will play my 100th round of golf this year at my home club – Kragga Kamma Country club. I have also played a number of rounds at different other clubs, taking my annual number of rounds to 108. All these rounds were done walking and pulling my own golf equipment. At a conservative 6km per round, that equates to about 650 km on foot. I'm proud of this achievement and very thankful for the good health which I enjoy, making this possible. I am 65 … [Read more...] about Celebrating 100 rounds of golf in 2013

Calling all men in PE to face your fiercest opponent yet…

16 September 2013 By Tanya Kemp

“Where are the men in yoga?”. A question that has plagued yoga studios the world over and has come up strongly for me since opening my studio in Port Elizabeth. You certainly don’t open a yoga studio to meet men – even though the proposition of being proposed to on one hand rather than one knee is enticing. But to have a space such devoid of male energy is just scary. Yes – women tend to find yoga more accessible – they tend to have more flexibility and less tension (aka strength). Men are built … [Read more...] about Calling all men in PE to face your fiercest opponent yet…

To me it looks like a corpulent middle aged Caddy bakkie with bits chopped off

25 February 2012 By Alan Straton

VWSA Golf Cabriolet

I am sorry guys but I think the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet looks just like a fattened up middle age Caddy with the back bits chopped off and lowered. I can't quite define my feeling of unease when looking at the images of the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet and get the impression that someone said; "We need to have a car that will appeal to hairdressers and their clients - one that is safe (ish) and affordable whilst being built up from bits we have available in bins scattered around the … [Read more...] about To me it looks like a corpulent middle aged Caddy bakkie with bits chopped off
