I recently experienced an outage on my Telkom landline. A very helpful lady phoned me from Telkom and informed me that Telkom would be crediting me for a portion of that outage. I politely thanked her and reminded myself to NOT hold my breath waiting for the credit. Lo and behold - the credit came through on this month's account. How cool and thank you Telkom. Year-on-year (y/y) growth in the value of outstanding credit balances in the South African household sector was recorded at 3,7% at the end of July 2015 and has been below the 4% level for the past twelve months.
