Bethelsdorp Cemetery Closed

21 August 2012 By NMB Communications

Bereaved families who wish to bury their deceased in the Bethelsdorp Cemetery, have the option of temporary burial in … [Read more...] about Bethelsdorp Cemetery Closed

Closure of King Edward Hotel

1 July 2011 By Port Elizabethan

It is with great shock to hear that the KING EDWARD HOTEL has closed down. Such an iconic feature of our city has now shut its doors. This is very sad. Would be interested to hear the reasoning. They have just spent so much money on refurbishing the hotel. Editors Notes: The King Edward Hotel phone is not answered and the King Edward Hotel web site has been suspended. Can anyone shed some more light? … [Read more...] about Closure of King Edward Hotel

23 March 2011 By Alan Straton

Bayworld will be closing the Oceanarium doors to the public on 31 March 2011. This is to allow for the final preparations for sending the resident Cape Fur seals and African penguins to the National Zoo, in Pretoria on a breeding loan. This process has been necessitated to allow the former dolphin lake to be decommissioned. The filtration systems and other infrastructure of the dolphin lake is connected with that of the seal and penguin habitats so shutting down of these spaces will be … [Read more...] about Bayworld Oceanarium to Close on 31 March 2011
