Just what possesses some people?

11 August 2015 By Alan Straton

Skinnerbek Dishing The Dirt

On Women’s Day I was witness to a high profile (maybe I should say relatively well known in certain circles?) 'gentleman' being abusive to my wife. The Longhair sought out and requested of this 'gentleman' if we could make a braai fire in the same area near to his equipment - to which he acquiesced only to come a couple of minutes later to quickly move his guitar and I jokingly said to him that I may have been tempted to use it as kindling, which did evince a smile in acknowledgement of my … [Read more...] about Just what possesses some people?

The Nelson Mandela Bay Communications office is tasked to inform the public and media of pertinent information to do with the Municipality. To that end they make use of various avenues - media lists, social media, newspaper adverts, internal publications etc. All information released by the Municipal Communications office can be found here:  http://mype.co.za/new/author/nmb-communications/ (expect this to dry up as I think MyPE may be quietly removed from that media list soon). I received … [Read more...] about Dear Kupido and Roland THIS is also abuse of ratepayer funds

8 December 2012 By Alan Straton

Put yourself in my position: I love our new stadium I believe wholeheartedly that the stadium will be a success I excuse the stadium most of their transgressions I promote the stadium at every opportunity I get AND, what do I get as a thank you? The Monstrous Crime of Violence Against Women – The Story of Alice in Monster Land

11 January 2011 By John Preller

The reason for under reporting are diverse with many complex social, economic and legal elements including the source and reporting authority contributing to the notoriously understatement of violence against women. The appalling result of this under reporting is the frequency of abuse is most likely very much higher than the … [Read more...] about The Monstrous Crime of Violence Against Women – The Story of Alice in Monster Land
