Substations play an important role in providing safe and reliable electricity supply to your home and place of work.
Tampering with substations has unfortunately become a trend. This practice is costly and extremely dangerous. A substation can pose a very real risk of electrocution, serious injury or death if the equipment is tampered with.
The Electricity and Energy Directorate is pleading with the residents to stand together and fight against vandalism as it has a severe impact on service delivery and can be lethal.
