There we were just minding our own business on our way to Flat Rocks with the four legged menaces when the Longhair burst out laughing. Now the Longhair is prone to the occasional outbursts of hilarity but this one took a while to subside.
The Reason?
Some enterprising street photoshopper has altered the ‘Something Good’ sign adorning the closed roadhouse near Pollock Beach to read ‘Something Bad’
Classic.

HAHA…You have to give whoever did that points for the quick thinking 🙂
LOL – but sad to see yet another ANC phark-up. This business was a landmark – destroyed by the stupidity of our ANC operated monkeypality.

I did eat some rather dodgy burgers there once…
“This business was a landmark”
I can’t understand people’s obsession with this shed of a building. It served rubbishy, greasy fast food, looks like something a second-rate contractor threw up in an afternoon and obviously was not doing the business to support itself. Why not knock it down and put something decent up?
Aaah – I remember the good old days when midnight munchies hit. No matter that the burgers were probably made out of horse meat. They tasted devine. Now there is not much else on offer in PE for the youngsters to go to – maybe Steers or MacDonalds. It may be a rundown side show – but has lots of memories for lots of PE people. Don’t knock it. Well done to the creative artists who renamed it. I think that is classic.
Lifesaving and surfing at Pollock was always better with a slap chip quarter – occasionally we could afford to have a bean quarter and a hot chocolate.
I fondly remember that feeling of total freedom of a day at the beach, school holidays, cold surf and eating a slap chip quarter to refuel.
I can still see the sandy side eating area and feel the sand under my bare feet – thanks for invoking those memories 123.
