The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Executive Mayor, Cllr Babalwa Lobishe, together with colleagues from Umhlobo Wenene FM, attended the memorial service of Pastor Nomonde Patience Vakalisa at the Nangoza Jebe Community Hall today.
The purpose of the memorial service was to honor and celebrate the life of Nomonde Patience Vakalisa.
In her address, the Executive Mayor reflected on her fond memories of Vakalisa, describing her as always impeccably dressed and radiantly beautiful. She recalled how Vakalisa often shared Bible verses, emphasizing unity and bringing people together. The Mayor also highlighted Vakalisa’s immense talent and the significant role she played in her community and beyond.
Expressing her condolences to Umhlobo Wenene FM, the Mayor acknowledged the deep pain of the loss but encouraged the team to find healing. She concluded by appreciating Vakalisa’s impactful legacy and the inspiration she leaves behind.
