We would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of the late Mr Lennox Mbewana, Chairperson of the Regional Taxi Council.
Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of the late Mr Matomana Lennox Mbewana. Mr Mbewana was the chairperson of the Regional Taxi Council in the Nelson Mandela Bay region.
The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Roads and Transport, Cllr Rano Kayser said Mr Mbewana was an extra ordinary man and was influential in advancing the establishment of safe, reliable, cost effective public transport system, which will benefit all residents and stakeholders of NMBM and overall improvement in the transport industry.
“It is with great sadness that we receive this tragic news and the sudden passing of Mr Mbewana will leave a great void. We will surely miss his valuable contribution and constructive criticism in our meetings. There are many in the NMB community who mourn deeply his passing as his was a life of love, compassion and excellence. We will keep the Mbewana family in our prayers and trust that in their pain they will find healing. May his soul rest in peace,” said Cllr Kayser.
The Funeral service of Mr Mbewana will take place on Saturday 7 January 2017, at Feather Market Hall at 9:00.
