Premier and Executive to Visit Nelson Mandela Bay

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, the economic hub of the Eastern Cape Province, will be hosting the Eastern Cape Premier, Phumulo Masuale, and his Executive on a two-day EXCO Outreach visit starting tomorrow. This visit forms part of the Executive’s programme for the 16 Days of Activism on No Violence Against Women and Children, which is starting tomorrow. The visit also forms part of the Inter-governmental relations and cooperation programme between the Provincial government and the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.

During this two-day visit, the Premier and his Executive is expected to hold a closed session meeting with the Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Cllr Benson Fihla and the Mayoral Committee delegation. At this session, issues ranging from major infrastructural projects to general institutional support will be discussed. Electricity and water sustainability will also be focal discussion areas. The delegation is expected to visit the homes of local victims of violence against women and children.
