The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality advises that the Nooitgedagt Water Treatment Works will be shut down for 24 hours on Wednesday, 3 May 2017 for essential scheduled work to be carried out in terms of the Phase 2 upgrading of the Works.
Over this period, residents in the following areas could possibly experience outages:
- Parts of Uitenhage
- Despatch
- KwaDwesi
- KwaMagxaki
- Joe Slovo
- Bethelsdorp
- Bloemendal
- Chatty
- Coega
- Motherwell
- Wells Estate
- Blue Water Bay
- Colchester
The Municipality appeals to consumers in these areas to work very sparingly with water over this period, using it for essential purposes only, as this could assist in minimising supply disruptions in their area.
