There will be a shut down of water supply to the Seaview Supply area on Thursday the 19th of July 2018. The reason for the shutdown is to upgrade the inlet supply to the network. In doing this, we will be able to accurately measure the amount of water being fed, thus, helping us create more savings. Due to numerous requests from major industries and residents, the water shutdown at the Gelvandale Reservoir will now take place on Sunday, 8 July from 6am. Municipal engineers will have to shutdown a valve at Northumberland Road to replace a broken branch valve off the 700mm Chelsea Pipeline near Van Der Stel and Kabega Road intersection.
