Nice One Aubrey Sacks, Sorry For You Plumblink Newton Park

7 January 2025 By Alan Straton

Apologies Plumblink BUT the following needs to be said:

Recently our plumber bought a Kwikot Geyser Element from your Newton Park branch for cash.

The element turned out to be faulty.

Your representative said that he could not exchange the element as they had to wait for Kwikot to open after the festive season and that even then it would be a wait of a couple of days before the Kwikot representative could determine if it was a factory fault or not and replace the element. Voice Note HERE.

This is not the way to do business for a number of reasons:

  1. Our plumber is your client and NOT a direct client of Kwikot
  2. His client is being prejudiced and is not interested in waiting for Kwikot to determine if the element is faulty or not – he just needs hot water.
  3. Our plumber purchased the element from Plumblink Newton Park and NOT direct from Kwikot.
  4. Plumblink Newton Park has been paid in cash for the element and has a duty of care to honour any warranty issues and only after that take up the issue with Kwikot.

The upshot of the issue is that I sent our plumber to Aubrey Sacks, allowing him to use our account, to purchase a replacement element.

Aubrey Sacks Plumbing Supplies were then asked what would happen if the supplied element was faulty. To which they replied that they would immediately replace and then take up the cudgels with their supplier.

Guess who we will be recommending as a Plumbing Supplier into the future?

In our businesses we do not make the supplier’s problems the client’s – if there is an issue we replace immediately and then sort out the concern. If it costs us money – then so be it, the client hired and trusted us to do a job.
