After two years of pantomime deprivation, PEMADS is back on the 29th of November with Aladdin written by Barbara Woodhead and directed by the panto wizard, the inimitable Leslie Speyers, this show will have you in stitches!

Set in the faraway city of Agrabah amidst snake charmers, spirits, and flying carpets, this fresh, cutting-edge, contemporary production will appeal to all audiences, young and old alike.

Pantomime regular Mark Phelps fills the title role of Aladdin, accompanied by first-timer Jessica Smith as the innocent Jasmine. Bennie Gerber (last seen playing the hilariously deceitful Mr Wormwood in Matilda the Musical) is ready to heckle and harass audiences as the wicked magician, Jafar, alongside Rob Andrews in a side-splitting portrayal of Dame Widow Twankey.

Audiences can look forward to performances by Abigail Ranwell, Matthew Hamilton, Charlize Visser, Christopher Cressey, Isabella Hendricks, and Arutha Edwards.

Fun and lively choreography by Abigail Ranwell and vocal and musical magic by Angela Barnard, a fabulous cast, laugh-out-loud comedy, colourful scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses, Aladdin is perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

Opening on the 29th of November and running until the 17th of December, tickets are R100 pp available on Webtickets and at Pick ’n Pay Stores.
