Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Executive Mayor, Cllr Babalwa Lobishe, chaired the weekly Mayoral Committee (MAYCO) meeting at City Hall’s Council Chambers. The meeting was attended by Acting City Manager Mandla George, COO Christopher Dyani, and Executive Directors representing various directorates. This collaborative session focused on evaluating key challenges facing the Metro and exploring strategic solutions to drive impactful change and service delivery.
Mayor Lobishe reiterated the Municipality’s commitment to achieving tangible results for the residents of Nelson Mandela Bay. She highlighted the importance of innovative and inclusive approaches to addressing critical issues, ensuring that all sectors of society benefit from the Municipality’s service delivery efforts.
The Mayor concluded the session by confirming that considerations and amendments will be made to the 2025 financial year plan, aligning with the objectives discussed during the meeting.
The Municipality remains steadfast in its mission to create a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
